The Child inside me Died!!!

“I want to show you few experiments which I successfully executed yesterday. When do we meet?” , in a highly excited pitch, asked 13 years old Rohan.

Curious by nature, he looked a very innocent lad. He was not aware of the pleasing talks expected when Diya aunty arrives at his place or during a social occasion. Experiments along with sports & music are what he could relate & connect with. Thus defined & tagged as an introvert by family members.

Living in a joint family, being a part of 3rd Generation he was forced upon rules & norms which were accepted & followed by 1st & 2nd generation of his family members. None of his “WHY’s” ever got a logical reasoning which he could relate to.

A bit of retaliation from his end was followed by tantrums, questioning his academic performance. It was considered as lack of respect for elders.

Thus during the journey, Rohan generated self-doubts & questions. He was unable to understand what Shakespeare wanted to express in his school literature books. Thus reflecting the same in school exams which led to comparison with other families in the social structure whose scores were appreciated, raising more self-doubts. Feedback from teachers on his not so normal behavior aggravated his concerns.

And as if this was not enough, he was bullied by his friends for his looks (relating his face with animals) & his innocence was considered as not “MANLY”.

None of his emotions, expressions & actions gained approval from anywhere consistently.

People say hi to this aggressive, protective, highly introvert, always irritated Rohan who gives a shit about his family members now. He is way past his curious self, stopped experimenting.

Looking for approval within few friends he has started doing activities which are impressive within the group losing his real self.

Congratulations People one more NORMAL ROBOTIC HUMAN BEING IS OUT IN MARKET.

A possible INNOVATOR / RESEARCHER DIED.

Who is responsible?

Let’s reflect!!!
